Our Gunsmith will convert your Citori to mechanical triggers. Why would you do that?
Most of the higher end Browning shotguns use mechanical triggers. Why do they do that? It is a better system and more reliable than the inertia block pendulum. If you shoot reloads with light loads, or a small bodied shooter that doesn’t allow enough resistance to the recoil, this can cause severe issues with the inertia block. The inertia block needs to be thrown back at recoil to allow the gun to transfer over to the other sear and barrel. If there isn’t enough energy, your double barrel becomes a single shot.
When we convert your gun to a mechanical trigger, we remove the inertia blocks ability to cause problems. This allows a solid mechanical contact each time you pull the trigger. You can dry fire your gun with snap caps without the need to “reset” it each time.
If you do not have a case, we can send you a empty hard case to secure your gun back to us for an extra fee.
